A transfer barrier enables the pumping of one fluid to produce pressure in another liquid without the mixing of the two. Where the volume of the transfer barrier is sufficiently large, the flow pumped into it of the "system liquid" produces flow in the other "transfer" liquid. There are applications for pressure indicators that are remote from the source of "nasty" liquids. |
Diaphragm seals enable the use of standard low cost measurement and control instruments.
